snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is a regular and confirmed practice in the "Maison de Gaudissard".
Description of the training course:
5 days of leisurely snowshoeing along slopes of virgin snow, which take you to the most impressive sites of the Queyras Regional Nature Parc. A different and intimate contact with nature, exploring at your own rythm the beauties of the mountains in this particularly preserved area.Saturday morning is free. You can borrow snowshoes and go testing them on your own or join a group for the day. (34 € for the equipment and guide).
Guiding:
You are accompanied by a reliable and trained guide, knowledgeable about mountain conditions and natural life.Public concerned:
Young people to active seniors, individually, with your family or joining a group.Standard:
You have to be in good physical condition, and have a good practice of mountain walking.Equipment needed :
- Warm clothes: thermal tights, «Gore tex »pants or similar (waterproof), fleece jacket and gore tex type vest (waterproof) , gloves, bonnet, warm socks.
- Mountain walking waterproof shoes.
- Glasses and sun block.
- Gaiters
- A thermos and a gourd for water.
- A backpack containing around 30 litres.
2011/2012 Rates (price per person):
- Outing per day : 34 €
- Hostel (rooms with 3, 4 ou 6 beds): 500 €
- Hôtel (2 people sharing) 605 € (shower), 650 € (bath or shower, WC)
- Hôtel single room : 670 € (shower), 680 € (shower, WC)
- Hotel room for 3/4 people : from 605 € to 620 € (bath or shower, WC)
- Full board from Sunday morning breakfast to Saturday 2PM
- A guide for 5 days outings.
- Adapted equipment (including on Sunday and Saturday)
- Access to the finnish sauna.
- The card ANCEF (compulsary) costing 15,50 € (16,50 € with annual insurance)
- The hotel Tax (0,50 to 0,75 € /night/pers.)
- The drinks.
