The first cross country skiing center in France was opened in 1969 by Bernard Gentil, the founder of the "Maison de Gaudissard" and grandfather of the actual generation running the place.

Description of the training course :

Five and a half days of cross country skiing both for beginners or for seasoned practitioners on the  special tracks created and maintained by the Queyras Regional Nature Parc.

• Technical skills teaching on Monday morning at La Chalp Sainte Agathe.
  
• Initiation sessions on Sunday and Monday afternoon in the Aigues valley.
• Discovery days from Tuesday to Friday.
  
• Free skiing time on Saturday morning with skis provided.
  

 You can also choose to participate part time to the course, either certain days or half days.

Guiding :

Trained instructor.

Public concerned :

Children from 8 (mid winter holidays) to active seniors, individually, with your family or with a group.

Standard :

Beginners to confirmed practitioners.

Personal equipment:

• Warm clothes (thermal tights, «Gore tex » pants ou similar (waterproof), fleece jacket and «Gore tex » type vest (waterproof), gloves, bonnet, warm socks)
• Sun glasses
  
• Sunblock
  
• Gaiters
• Thermos and a gourd for water
  
• A backpack containing around 30 L
  

 2011/2012 Rates (price per person) :

• A day's outing : 40 €
  
• Half a day technique learning : 22 €

All included course with accomodation in  hostel or hôtel**(price per person)

• Hostel (rooms for 3, 4 ou 6 person) : 540 €
• Hôtel (2 people sharing a room): 645 € (shower), 690 € (bath or shower, WC)
• Hôtel single room : 705 € (shower), 720 € (shower and WC)
• Hôtel room for 3/4 personnes : de 645 € à 660 € (bath or shower, WC)

The prices include:

• Full board from Sunday morning breakfast to Saturday after lunch
  
• The training for 5 days and a half
  
• Adapted skiing equipment
  
• Access to the finnish sauna
  

The prices do Not include :

• The card ANCEF (compulsary) costing 15,50 € (16,50 € with annual insurance )
• The badge for accessing the tracks (31 € per week)
• The Hotel Tax(0,50 to 0,75 € /night/pers.)
