About us

Created in 1969, La Maison de Gaudissard is the name of our lodge / B&B / 2-star hotel, nested in the mountains of the Queyras Natural Park at 1,820m elevation.

All around us, the French southern Alps offer their stunning landscapes, raw wilderness, calm and tranquility, all year round.

Back in the days, we’ve been the first nordic center and x-country skiing school to open in France.

Of course we keep on offering world-class x-country skiing trails and classes, but also plenty of other winter and summer outdoor activities, « a la carte » or in package deals…

Winter Summer

The Queyras is one of the oldest mountain ranges of the Alps, and one of the last ones to have been opened to public tourism towards the end of the 20th century, thus being relatively untouched by environmental destruction.

4 miles away from Saint-Véran (the third highest village in Europe), the Maison de Gaudissard, is an ancient and typical Piedmontese farm, notoriously known for its peacefulness, traditions and general good vibe!

Our large, south-facing, deck gets sun all day and overlooks the Aigue Blanche valley and the village of Molines-en-Queyras (1750m). Perfect place to chill and/or socialize after an action-packed day playing in the outdoors!

We offer 3 options: B&B/dorms, hotel rooms or furnished apartments.

1. BED & BREAKFAST (B&B)

13 beds, organized in luxury dorms of 3 or 6, with shared washrooms, showers and toilets.

2. HOTEL **

14 rooms (1-2-3-4-people rooms), with private washrooms / showers and toilets for most of them. Phone/internet available.

3. FURNISHED APARTMENTS

Located opposite from the hotel, across the footbridge:

SIRIUS 6: Fully furnished duplex, 105m², sleeps 6 in 3 rooms (2, 1+1, 1+1), with washrooms and toilets. Large living room, fireplace, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, etc. Backyard with tables and chairs. North/West facing.
SIRIUS 5: Fully furnished, first floor, 95m², sleeps 6-7 in 2 rooms (2, 1+1+1) + loft area (2) in the living room. Dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, etc. Washrooms/shower (2) and toilets (2). Terrace/patio with tables and chairs. East/West facing.
SIRIUS 4: Fully furnished, ground floor, 50m², sleeps 4 in 1 large room (2+1+1). Dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, etc. Washroom, shower and toilets. South facing.
